Senator John F. Kennedy visited Charlotte during the 1960 Presidential Campaign. The photograph shows him passing into the center of town through the 1st block of West Trade Street. In the front seat of the car is the driver: County Police Chief, George Stephens and Governor Luther Hodges. In the back seat from left to right: David Clark, Senator Kennedy and Terry Sanford.
