Six months later while at the Broadway Theater in uptown Charlotte, she saw a quick glance of him in a foxhole on Iwo Jima. The manager of the Broadway, E. J. Norman, snipped the 2 negatives from the reel of film and had enlargements made for Mrs. Taylor. She wanted them for her young daughter, who had never seen her father. His memorial service was at the Hutchinson Ave. Baptist Church.
