Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: While on a low-level attack of the Burma-Siam Railway, his plane was hit by machine gun fire. It exploded in mid-air. Buried by the Japanese at the crash scene near Ye, Burma. This was his 28th combat mission.

Adrian Knox

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: On a strafing mission over a tank column he was hit by antiaircraft fire. He escaped the aircraft but his parachute did not open. Buried in Neuville-en-Condroz Military Cemetery, Belgium. Memorial service held at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cornelius on Dec 30, 1945.

Craig Keistler

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He was on a boat that had been at Okinawa. It was later attacked by a large group of Japanese dive bombers. The ship sunk 12 miles from land, but he was not one rescued. His memorial service was held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on 7/8/1945. Memorial marker at Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery in Honolulu, HI.

William Knox, Jr.

Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: The War Dept. received notification of his death through the Red Cross, who had been contacted by the German government. His memorial service was held at the West Avenue Presbyterian Church on July 16, 1944, by his former pastor, Dr. W. W. Akers of Gastonia. His B-17 or Flying Fortress, where he served as navigator, was probably lost during attack on Brunswick, Germany, an aircraft parts manufacturing town. A memorial marker in his honor is in Ardennes, France.
