The Charlotte Carnegie Library was built in 1903 at 310 N. Tryon Street and is shown here decorated for Mecklenburg Declaration Day. Tryon Street was often one of the main streets in the parade routes. The exact date of this photograph is unknown.

The American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte was completed in 1937 and seats over 15,000 people. The Shriner Football games and numerous other events take place every year. Also featured in the postcard is the Armory House of the National Guard.
