Senator William A. Graham
Senator William A. Graham (1804-1875) served in the US Senate from 1840-1843. He was the Governor of North Carolina from 1845-1849 and served as Secretary of Navy from 1850-1852. This illustration was probably done circa 1860.The illustration is from General Joseph Graham and his Papers on North Carolina Revolutionary History.

Charlotte Police detectives upon receiving awards from J. Edgar Hoover for their part in solving a bank robbery by the Touhy gang on November 15, 1933. The photograph was taken in front of the courthouse. From left to right, unknown, Frank N. Littlejohn, Harry M. Joyner and unknown. Littlejohn later beame the Chief of Police.
