Sennaca Turner [1]

My negro man Tom ran away on the night of the 31st August last, from Cabarrus County. He is about 22 or 25, black complected, blue coat and pantaloons, with a black fur hat (fashionable) about 9 inches high, stout built. I believe he has been persuaded to leave by some white person who has promised him freedom.

Notice of the sale of slaves or of runaway slaves. Check estate sales first, as this is where most slave sales are listed.
