He married Margaret E. Martin of Charlotte on 2/17/1919 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair Blackwelder, 607 W. 7th St. Dr. Albert Sidney Johnson, pastor of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Charlotte performed the ceremony. The couple was going to Camp Grant, IL, where Scott was transferred.He was from Atlanta, GA.She had made her home with her aunt and uncle and was from Charlotte. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by the Southern Bell Telephone Co.
