Biographical Notes: 
His unit, the Sunset Division, was the first to mobilized and trained at Camp Greene. A fall from a bicycle resulted in injuries to his left side and heart. He was given a physical disability discharge and returned to Charlotte to manage the Soldiers Club on South Tryon.Buried at Sharon Memorial Cemetery.
