Biographical Notes: 
He was a resident of Paulsboro, NJ and was inducted in Woodbury, NJ. This serviceman, who died at Camp Greene at age 21, was buried on 1/30/1918 in the 'Soldier's Lot' at Elmwood Cemetery. The local War Mothers and American Legion Auxuiliary arranged for his burial and tombstone at Elmwood because his family never claimed the body. A permanent military headstone of Georgia marble was placed on 5/30/1918.
