Biographical Notes: 
He enlisted at Detroit, MI at age 34. His Army serial number was 167,392. He was honorably discharged on 5/8/1919 as Cook. He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery on 2/18/1923 at age 40. The War Mothers and American Legion Auxiliary placed a permanent headstone of Georgia marble on his grave on 5/30/1928.
