An article from The Charlotte Observer dated 5/6/1918, listed his address as 410 E. Fifth St. The article said he was being considered for an appointment to second lieutenant.The 1918 city directory lists him as a member of the US Army.He appears on the draft roll for the city of Charlotte. These draft cards did not survive. He was white and 25 years old.
