He went before a general court-martial on 9/20/1918 because he was absent without leave from about 7 p. m. on 9/7/1918 to about 7 a. m. on 9/11/1918. He pled guilty to this charge. His sentence was : 'to be dismissed the service.' He was no longer an officer of the Army from 10/24/1918.
