Biographical Notes: 
Killed in action in Europe in October, 1918. He was from Mt. Ulla or Mooresville, NC.<His college annual describes him as 21, 5'10' and 181 lbs. He was involved in football and described as a sleepy head. His greatest troubles were his feet, his blushing cheeks, and his waistline. They predicted he would become a state legislator. His quote' Awake him not. Surely he takes his fill of deep and liquid rest, forgetful of all ill.'
