Biographical Notes:
Joined the National Guard from Alabama when the call came to protect the Mexican border. He was 19 and his cousin joined up too. Was wounded in the last German drive and had damage to both eyes.He came home to visit in March 1919 and then was sent back to Cape May for more surgery.Made the trip back to France in 1927.
