Biographical Notes: 
His college annual describes him as ages 20, 6'2' and 178 lbs. He was involved in football and baseball and was known as 'George' or 'King.' He broke his leg in a football game which made him famous for awhile.He and his wife were living at 2010 Newkirk Ave., Brooklyn, NY after the war.A water oak was planted on the grounds of St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Charlotte in 2/1919 in his honor.
