Biographical Notes: 
He was 50 years old in 1918 and told stories to the men at Camp Greene about being in weather 109 to 65 degrees below zero. His brief biography mentions being 'on the border,' and this could mean that he was involved in the conflict with Mexico that preceded America's entry into WWI. He was attached to Field Hospital #3, then moved to Gettysburg for a few weeks. He transferred to Camp Greene with the 7th Infantry. He considered himself a 'Fighting Regular man.'
