When he got charge of the Q. M. repair shop and had the Motor Macs operating it, he helped get supplies and materials that made their jobs possible. The Motor Macs turned out about five cars per day as well as some trucks.Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico is named after him.
