Biographical Notes:

When he was 20, he was 5' 10' tall and weighed 183 lbs. He left college for a while but later graduated with his class. While in college, he loved to talk about his ancestors and was well read. At UNC-CH, he listed Charlotte, NC, as his hometown.Name appears on the 2nd Presbyterian Church service flag, presented on 9-2-1918. His name appears on the city draft list. These cards have not survived. He was white and 27 years old. He lived with Emma, the widow of J. Beach Vreeland, Donald, and Louis.
