Biographical Notes: 
Her husband had been previously married at age 23. After his wife died, Harriet married this man about 11 years her senior. In the 1930 census, he is managing a cotton mill in Cowpens, SC. Harriet is raising his daughter, Madeline, and her husband's grandson, Augustus Graham, Jr. Her active duty date was from 9/10/1918 - 4/12/1919. Although she died in West Virginia, she had lived in Shelby, NC prior to her move to West Virginia. She is buried at Elmwood Cemetery.
