Biographical Notes: 
He served in the regular Army for 15 years and during the World War. He died at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Frances Tucker, at 414 N. Caldwell. Funeral services were held at Episcopal Chapel of Hope and burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery. He had been a patient in Oteen hospital in Asheville and had been sick for 6 months but returned to Charlotte about four weeks ago.
