Biographical Notes: 
He witnessed the German Fleet surrender on Nov. 21, 1918 and then served until 1919.Originally from Petersburg, VA, he moved to Charlotte after the war. He was a city fireman for 31 years until his retirement in 1960.Funeral at Eastern Hills Baptist Church with interment at Sharon Memorial Park.
