He spent some of his adult life in Chicago, IL.A postcard he wrote on the day of his arrival at Camp Greene is now a family heirloom. A scanned image of it appears in the Postcard category of the Images section of this website. Copies of letters to his parents are in a file in the Carolina Room. They were written from Camp Merritt, NJ on 4/3/1918.
