Biographical Notes: 
He reported an incident that occurred 3/12-13/1918, when an officer, Capt. Johnson, did not observe regulations and was within 100 yards of the powder magazine. The Captain would not halt until Private Davis, who was on patrol, threatened him with a gun. Capt. Johnson later apologized for his language.
