Biographical Notes: 
He served as the Assistant Detachment Commander for Base Hospital #54 and had been with them since their formation of enlisted personnel at Ft. Oglethrope in 1918.His enthusiasm for 'dear old Fifty-Four' was often reflected in his poetry.He served as an instructor for most classes at Base Hospital #54 for most of May and June in 1918.
