Died after an illness and fever of 5 weeks. Pastor of 4th Creek Presbyterian Church. He is the second son of the late Reverend Samuel Caldwell of Sugar Creek, and the grandson of Reverend David Caldwell of Guilford County, who died a few years ago at the age of 100.He received his collegiate education at Athens, Georgia and study theology at Union Seminary, Prince Edward County., Virginia.. Caldwell was licensed in 1828 by the Presbytery of Concord. He was ordained and installed at 4th Creek in 1831.
