Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: Killed on the first day of the Peleliu Island campaign. As the driver of an amphibious tractor, he carried troops across the reef through heavy mortar fire before being mortally wounded by enemy mortar fire. Annually contributed to the Charlotte Fresh Air Fund. Memorial service at the Douglas and Sing chapel on Oct 13, 1944. Memorial marker at Ft. McKinley, Manila, PI.
