Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: While returning from a raid on St. Vith, Belgium, he reported that he was low on fuel. Last heard from over the English Channel about 15 miles west of the France coast. Had flown over 50 missions. Memorial service on May 9, 1948 at Caldwell Memorial Presbyterian Church. Memorial marker in Cambridge, England.
