Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He was discharged from regular Army in 1939. He enlisted in the recruiting service in June, 1940 and became a warrant officer in Atlanta, GA. He drowned in Panama City. Funeral was held March 2, 1944, at Hovis Funeral Home. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church on July 14, 1946, for 15 members who died during WWII.
