Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He grew up in Charlotte and graduated from Central High School. Air Medal for meritorius achievement in sorties over Africa. Missing in action in the Mediterranean theater. Memorial marker in North Africa. Memorial service at Westminster Presbyterian Church in May 28, 1944 and on Jul 21,1946. In 2000, workers dredging Lake Tunis found his plane with the remains of five crew members. He was identified through his sister's DNA. Services with full military honors will be held June 8, 2003 at Bethel Presbyterian Church near Clover, SC. Services for the unidentified remains of the 5 crewmen were held at Arlington National Cemetery in April 2003.
