Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He was seriously wounded by German tank crew. He had a stomach wound and a shattered leg but was expected to be moved to England. He had dictated to a Red Cross worker 3 letters to his family. He died in France on 9-21 from the wounds he received on 9-13. There was a memorial service of him at the Davidson Presbyterian Church on 11-19-1944.
