Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: Died of burns received in action on the USS Curtis in Okinawa Bay on June 21, 1945. He was being transported on a Navy Hospital ship to Guam and died en route. On July 2, he was buried in the Army, Navy and Marine Cemetery No. 2 on Guam, Plot C, Row 34, Grave 12. Memorial service held at Hawthorne Lane Meth. Church on 9-2-45.
