Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He was a pilot of a B-24 Liberator and was killed in action on D-day. Before his death, he had completed about 20 missions from his base in England. At the time of his death, he was designated by his crew as a group leader. He was buried in the American Military Cemetery in Cambridge, England, plot E, row 3, grave 22. A memorial service and mural unveiling were held at Dilworth Methodist Church on 10-7-1945.
