Food from Home [1]

What foods remind you of your growing up? That question will be a springboard for exploring Charlotte-area food traditions today with a spotlight on international offerings right here in Matthews. This program is presented by Tom Hanchett, author of the monthly "Food from Home" column in the Charlotte Observer. Dr. Hanchett recently retired after 16 years as staff historian at Levine Museum of the New South and he has just been appointed as the first Historian-in-Residence with the Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room of the public library.
