In honor of Jewish-American Heritage Month, please join us for a book and author event featuring Leonard Rogoff, author of Gertrude Weil: Jewish Progressive in the New South.

Gertrude Weil - a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina - stood courageously at the forefront of a wide range of progressive and often controversial causes including women's suffrate, labor reform and civil rights. As a Zionist, Weil also was the founding emember of Goldsboro's Hadassah chapter.
