Charlotte Mecklenburg Library REMEMBERS...
The World War II Era

The Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County collects information about men and women who made contributions to the war effort and survived World War II. These individuals may have had Mecklenburg County connections during the war or later in their lives.
 
The Carolina Room maintains files on "Soldiers & Patriots" [1]of the World War II era. Many files are small and may only contain an original copy of a newspaper or newsletter article from the war years. We will continue to add to these files as information is obtained.
 
If you are a World War II veteran or patriot with Mecklenburg County connections and would like to submit information about yourself, please fill out the  "WWII Veterans Questionnaire" [2] and return the completed form to:
