Notes: Esquire/ Attorney. Originally published in the Columbia Times. Being a little indisposed about 12 days before his death, he had visited a patent doctor and undergone steam and patent medicine, which produced inflammation of the stomach and kidneys and resulted in death after 10 painful days of illness. He was aged, and left no children.
