Death Details/Burial/Memorial Services: He died aboard the U.S.S. Franklin, along with his cousin by marriage, David Anderson Allen. Charlottean Thomas Kimbrough Joyner was also killed when the carrier was hit by a Japanese suicide bomber. Burial at sea with full honors.
