Military Details:
Captain Harold Willecke entered the Army in 1942, he saw five months of combat duty in Europe in the campaign for Central Germany, for which he received the Bronze Star for on February 16, 1950. Willecke then spent two year in the Pacific and the 10 months in the Philippines and 14 months in Korea. Willecke's last duty station before being sent to Korea was in Charlotte in the Charlotte Army and Air Force recruiting station.
