Dickinson assess the potential damage of firing on the property of the Armon Mfg. Co. of Mt. Holly, NC, during June 1918. The mill that once stood on the property was destroyed in the flood of 1916, but about 50 homes of wood and brick that were on higher ground were spared and still standing on the property. He was involved in assessing buildings to be removed from Camp Greene in June 1918. These vacant structures, consisting of homes, cabins and out buildings, were problems for health and sanitation reasons.On 8/2/1918, he assessed the area of Camp Greene as 589 acres of Regimental Reservations, 62 acres of Quartermaster Warehouses, etc., 110 acres of the Base Hospital, 139 acres of the Remount Station, 35 acres of the Detention Camp, and 1216 acres for the remainder of the Camp. The drill grounds outside of the camp was 90 acres and the landing adjoining Camp Greene on the west was 437 acres.
