His Army serial number was 2,385,063. He died at Camp Greene at age 26 during the influenza epidemic. Because his family never claimed his body, he was buried on 10/20/1918 at Elmwood Cemetery by the Charlotte War Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary in the 'Soldier's Lot.' A permanent headstone of Georgia marble was placed on 5/30/1928. His surname does not appear in any on-line databases and may be Hatzidimitri, which shows up around New York. He was from Ansonia, Connecticut.
