Missing in action in the Canal Sector after backlash from a gas attack. Nine trains containing gas cylinders were placed along the front of the 30th American Division. After discharge, the gas rolled back over ground occupied by the Engineers, and barb wire entanglements and German gunfire interfered with their escape. Company F reported to Camp Sevier, SC in August 1917, and was added to the 105th Regiment on Sep. 12th.Hometown - Charlotte.
