As a boy in small-town Charlotte in the 1890's, Adolph loved baseball. His name appears on the city draft roll. These draft cards have not survived. He was white and 26 years old. He died at the VA Hospital in Salisbury and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery. He lived at 2320 Belvedere Ave. in Charlotte.
