The Public Library and the Olde Mecklenburg Genealogical Society present nationally known genealogist Margaret M. Hofmann, who has written more than a dozen books on abstracts of land patents, state land grants, court records, and abstracts of wills. Ms. Hoffman will share her secrets for finding and using these types of resources to help with genealogical research. There will be two lectures: “300 Years of NC Land Patents and Grants” and “Looking for The Old Courthouse”.
