The Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County seeks Charlotte history photos – neighborhood events, street scenes, buildings, group portraits of schools, prominent Charlotteans, debutante balls, dances, churches, events and parades. Bring your historic photos to the Duke mansion and the Carolina Room staff will make copies right on the spot – you keep your originals. Librarian Shelia Bumgarner of the Carolina Room and Levine Museum historian Dr. Tom Hanchett will discuss the findings. Dr. Hanchett will also lead an interactive discussion about Myers Park and Charlotte history.
