Commercial National Bank & American Trust Company Building

The Commercial National Bank and American Trust Company Building were located in the 200 block of South Tryon Street. On the site of the bank building was the home where Confederate President Jefferson Davis stayed in Charlotte from April 18 to the 25th. While staying there, he learned of President Abraham Lincoln's assassination.
