African American

One of the largest collections in the Robinson-Spangler Carolina Room is the African American Collection. It documents through photographs the history of Charlotte's African Americans from the 1870s to the present. We are in the process of cataloging this collection.

Charlotte Postcard Collection

This collection contains any postcard related to Charlotte, selected cities and North Carolina.

Hornet's Nest

These images make up the library's oldest photograph collection. Many of the items were obtained during the publication of the book, The Hornet's Nest by Blythe and Brockman.
