In January of 2000, the Carolina Room staff premiered a new addition to CMStory entitled Gold Star Veterans. It featured men that served in WW II with Mecklenburg County connections who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Home Front exhibit portrays a small sample of what life was like in Mecklenburg County, NC from 1941-1946.
