July 5, 1970 - Rev. Colemon Kerry, Jr., leads the dedication
of the new Friendship Baptist Church on Beatties Ford Road.

| In 1963, Friendship’s Brevard Street sanctuary was demolished by the city as part of urban renewal. After more than seven years of holding church services at the Northwest Junior High School Auditorium, the church is able to raise the funds to rebuild. | ||
